It’s only two and a half weeks until the November 2nd local elections and we are into day 3 of absentee balloting. It is the first election in Marshall County at the new Election Center in the former headquarters of the Fire Department. Director of Elections Nan Benson says seven voters came in and filled out their ballot the first day, with 37 ballots mailed out via requests. Benson says if you want an absentee ballot mailed to you, don’t procrastinate; Monday is the deadline to get your request filed.

In the meantime, Benson reminds that she and her staff are happy to answer any questions about the latest process to cast an absentee ballot. Just call the Election Office at 754-6302.
