Marshall County appears to be a swing county when it comes to the congressional districts. Now in the first district, Plan 1 had the County in the 2nd district, this new plan places it in the fourth district.
The overall plan for the state’s four congressional districts may really upset the proverbial apple cart.
Current representatives Cindy Axne and Mariannette Miller-Meeks would be in the new 3rd district,
First District Congresswoman Ashley Hinson of Marion lives in the proposed second district. Congressman Randy Feenstra of Hull, a Republican, would continue to reside in the fourth district. No incumbents live in the proposed first district.
