Marshalltown Community College will host the Shear Colbert Symposium on the theme of “Fact or Fake: Information Today” with three speakers this spring. The symposium will begin with the lecture “If It’s Fake, It Can’t Be News” with speaker Rekha Basu on Thursday, February 24th starting at 11 a.m.

P.J. Colbert, a Professor of English Studies at MCC, says the symposium event with Rekha Bashu can be viewed by interested participants either by video or in person.

The symposium lecture event, organized by MCC, is open to the public.
