The Marshalltown Police Department has announced the arrest of a man in the Marshalltown area on a substance abuse charge.

Thirty-one-year-old Justin Harris was arrested by police Sunday on a charge of having possession of  a controlled substance, 3rd offense.

On Sunday, Marshalltown police arrested a man on various charges after responding officers were notified of a domestic incident in progress at a home located in the 100 block of  North First Avenue.

Twenty-year-old Guadalupe Hernandez was arrested by police on a charge of domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury.

On Friday, Marshalltown police announced  the arrest of a man on various theft related charges.

Twenty-six-year-old Baylee Waldo was arrested by police on charges of Larceny 5th Degree Theft and Identity Theft.
