The Marshalltown Fire Department was called to a reported structure fire late Thursday morning at 107 West Lincoln Street.

When fire crews arrived on the scene, they found a two-story residence fully engulfed in flames.

Due to the extent of the fire, a defensive operation was established.

Firefighters brought the fire under control and conducted a search of the building with no one found inside.

Local fire crews remained on the scene for two-and-a-half hours.

No injuries were reported.

An investigation is underway and an update will be provided after the investigation is completed.
