The Iowa Department of Agriculture has released its weekly fuel report for the week of Mar. 17 -23, 2022.
As of Wednesday, Mar. 23, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.87 across Iowa, according to Triple-A.
Prices fell 4 cents from last week’s price and were $1.07 higher than one year ago.
The national average on Wednesday was $4.24, down 7 cents from last week’s price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were down 4 cents this week with a statewide average of $4.72.
One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.12 in Iowa.
The current Iowa diesel price is 32 cents less than the national average of $5.04.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16 a gallon.
