An Iowa Falls man was arrested Friday after police say he allegedly was caught trespassing on school property and vandalizing a school bus.
Thirty-one-year-old Benjamin Massengale of Iowa Falls has been formally charged with Trespassing-First Offense and Third-Degree Criminal Mischief.
According to a police incident report, Massengale was initially observed by responding officers inside a school district pickup truck near the bus barn between the baseball and football fields. It was further noted that Massengale was allegedly shoeless and his pants were pulled down leading officers to believe that he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
Massengale then allegedly entered a school bus and discharged a fire extinguisher and urinated on the bus causing between $750 and $1,000 in damage.
The criminal mischief charge against Massengale is an aggravated misdemeanor which is punishable by up to two years in jail.
