A vehicle stolen from the Waterloo area on Sunday subsequently led to a chase which eventually came to an end in Grundy County wit the subject involved being apprehended and now facing charges.
At around 4:40 p.m., the Cedar Falls Department of Public Safety was sent to a report of a theft in progress at Fleet Farm, located at 400 Ridgeway Avenue.
Police say 46-year-old Corrie Hall drove off after officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop involving a truck that had initially ben reported stolen from Waterloo.
A chase then ensued which eventually came to an end in Grundy County, at which time Hall was taken into custody and charged with Second-Degree Theft, Criminal Mischief, and Eluding.
Hudson Police, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, and the Iowa State Patrol all assisted in responding to the incident.
