Dr. Jeremy Best of Iowa State University will offer a presentation entitled “Hawkeyes and the Holocaust: What Did Iowans Know?” on Sunday, April 10th at 2:00 p.m. in the Marshalltown Public Library’s community meeting rooms.
Dr. Best is a professor in the history department at Iowa State University. He earned his B.A. in History from Vanderbilt University and his PHD in Modern European History from the University of Maryland.
Dr. Best is also a holocaust educator, having been a fellow at the Summer Institute of the Holocaust Educational Foundation and a participant in the JAck and Anita Hess Faculty Seminar at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.
The program is part of the library’s American and the Holocaust exhibition, which is a traveling exhibition from the United States Holocaust Museum. The exhibition will be a the library from Saturday, March 26th through Friday, May 6th.
