The Wound Healing Center at Unity Point Health Marshalltown has been recognized as the West Division Center of the Year for 2021 by Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of the advanced wound care services. Along with the National President’s Circle Award for Clinic Excellence in patient satisfaction & clinical outcomes, the wound center received top distinction among all Healogics Wound Clinic west of the Mississippi River. The only other clinic in the West Division to earn President’s Circle status for 2021 was a center in Duluth, Minnesota. A year ago, the Marshalltown clinic was 1 of just 3 centers in the West Division to receive a President’s Circle Award & this year marks the 4th time in the past 5 years the center has secured the award. As a member of the Healogics network of approximately 600 centers, the Wound Center in Marshalltown offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from slow healing wounds, diabetic food wounds, pressure sores, leg wounds from poor circulation & other chronic wounds. The clinic will remain at its current location when the new hospital opens on April 27th.
