Members of the Tama City Council discussed the need for having a new engineering contract in place for the pavement of gravel roads at this week’s city council meeting.
A similar project was recently done on Oswego Street, which included the installation of new cub and gutter. Similar work is slated to take place in the near future along Herb and Hall Streets, with a potential bid also planned for Beautiful Street. as well.
The duties and responsibilities of the project were discussed with the hope of having the project completed sometime next fall.
The council approved a contract for the entire project with the total cost estimated at roughly $400,000.
