The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship has released its weekly fuel report for the week of May 12-18, 2022.
As of Wednesday, May 18th, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $4.15 across Iowa, according to Triple-A.
Prices rose 3 cents from last week’s price and were $1.25 higher than one year ago.
The national average on Wednesday was $4.57, up 17 cents from last week’s price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were down 4 cents this week with a statewide average of $5.26.
One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.06 in Iowa.
The current Iowa diesel price is 32 cents less than the national average of $5.58.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16 a gallon.
