Iowa residents can try fishing without buying a license on June 3rd, 4th, and 5th as part of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources’ “Free Fishing Weekend.”
Mike Stegmann, Marshall County Conservation Board Director, says the event is a great opportunity for both the young and old alike to get out and experience first-hand what fishing is all about.
According to Stegmann, there are several bodies of water in Marshall County that are great places to check out when it comes to fishing or other related activities.
Enticing a fish to bite your hook is fun for all ages. For tips on fishing in Iowa you can visit the DNR website at www.iowadnr.gov/fishing/ready-to-fish.
