Public Safety agencies from throughout Marshall County will be partnering with Marshalltown Community College in carrying out a mass casualty drill on Friday, June 10th from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The drill will be conducted on the Marshalltown Community College campus and will include public safety organizations from law enforcement, fire and EMS services, and Marshall County 9-1-1.
The drill will be based on an active shooter scenario.
Bystanders will notice a large law enforcement, fire and EMS presence on the MCC campus on June 10th.
Area citizens are reminded that the event is only a drill.
The training is designed to allow public safety agencies the opportunity to test their skills, procedures and tactics so they can effectively prepare for real life emergency events.
