Students attending classes within the Iowa Valley Community College District will see an increase in tuition during the 2022-2023 school year.
At Wednesday’s meeting, the IVCCD Board of Directors voted to increase tuition from $184 per credit hour to $190 for resident students within the IVCCD system. Tuition was also increased from$210 to $211 per credit hour for non-resident students attending Marshalltown Community College. Non-residents attending Ellsworth Community College will see a six dollar increase from $226 to $232 during the coming year.
The board also approved an increase in meal plan rates at both MCC and Ellsworth Community College with housing costs to remain the same for both campuses.
At Wednesday’s meeting, the board also approved a contract with Henkel Construction Corporation of Mason City for a proposed renovation project at Thompson Hall on the Ellsworth Community College campus.
The 2020-2025 master agreement between the Board of Directors of the Iowa Valley Community College District and the Iowa Valley Community College Education Association/ISEA was approved by the board, as presented.
The board also approved a 3.5 percent salary increase for all full-time and part-time benefit eligible non-faculty employees for the 2022-2023 academic year.
A new employment agreement was also approved between the IVCCD Board of Directors and Chancellor Kristie Fisher for Fiscal Year 2023.
