Heavy rains overnight Tuesday resulted in flash flooding across parts of central Iowa.

A flash flood warning was in effect for areas along U.S. Highway 30 from Boone through Marshalltown for a time Tuesday morning.

Some of the heaviest rainfall was reported from Perry through Ames where more than three inches fell during the overnight hours Tuesday.

In Hardin County, the National Weather Service received multiple reports of trees don and roof damage in the Hubbard and Eldora areas, as well.
