The Poweshiek County Supervisors discussed and approved an updated personnel policy for county employees for the upcoming fiscal year during their regular meting on Tuesday.

The policy will become effective on July 1st with the county auditor to proceed with distributing the newly updated policy to county employees and posting the information to the county employee portal.

The board discussed a request received by the county department heads regarding COVID compensation.  After further review, the board approved the request from the department heads, which will allow for grant funding from the American Rescue Plan Act to be used for employee COVID compensation.

The  board also canvassed the results from the June 7th Primary Election, which were later approved as presented.
