Will Smith’s new movie “Emancipation” will hit theaters on December 2nd . . . making it eligible for next year’s Oscars. Even if Will gets nominated, he can’t be there. He’s serving a 10-year ban for slapping Chris Rock at this year’s ceremony. “Emancipation” is based on the true story of a runaway slave who escapes to the North and joins the Union Army.

“House of the Dragon” fans are up in arms over Episode 7 because scenes were so dark they could barely tell what was going on. Some viewers called the episode “unwatchable” . . . and one even claimed it was, quote, “literally a whole episode of black screen.” Well, HBO has responded to a fan saying quote, “We appreciate you reaching out about a night scene in House of the Dragon: Episode 7 appearing dark on your screen. The dimmed lighting of this scene was an intentional creative decision. Thanks!”

There’s still no word on Coolio’s cause of death. But sources close to him say he had severe asthma, and that may have been a contributing factor. Apparently, he struggled with asthma over the years and traveled with several inhalers to keep it in check. He would even use them onstage sometimes. Coolio died in the bathroom of a friend’s house in L.A. last Wednesday. The friend had to break down the door to get to him. When paramedics arrived, they worked on Coolio for 45 minutes before pronouncing him dead. Coolio was 59.

Some have cats…some have dogs…some have Bison?? Chase Rice has…Bison!! CMT’s “Hot 20” visited his Nashville farm . . . and when he opened a bag of feed, his herd of bison came trotting in for lunch. He said, quote, “During quarantine I had all this land, but I didn’t have any of the fencing. I thought about cattle. Didn’t really want to do that. I love bison. I love the west. [These] are my pets. It’s weird. I get that. But they’re awesome.”

Reba McEntire’s “Live in Concert” tour kicks off October 13th, but she’s already announcing dates for next year. She’ll pick it up March 9th in Jacksonville, Florida and take it into mid-April. Terri Clark and The Isaacs are the openers.

Lastly…Country music icon Loretta Lynn has died, her publicist confirms. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee in the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 4. Her family has asked for privacy as they grieve. Details regarding a memorial service will be forthcoming in a public announcement. Her death comes just days after she celebrated her 60th anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. . Loretta Lynn was 90 years old.
