The YMCA/YWCA in Marshalltown has a class called “Live Strong” that anyone, Y member or not, who has had cancer can take. CEO of the YMCA Kim Jass-Ramirez tells us the idea behind the class.
That class starts on March 6th and they are currently actively recruiting people to join them. There are also some youth events coming up at the YMCA that Kim wants to let our listeners know about.
That kicks off on March 11th and kids will come in to practice and scrimmage every Saturday throughout the season. For more information about these programs or any programs at the YMCA head to ymca-ywca.org for more information.
