The Center Street Viaduct will be closed between the hours of 8:30am – 3:30pm starting Monday, March 20th – Friday, March 24th. They need to close the viaduct to begin working on the finger joints. The city is adding a temporary fix to the finger joints as they are looking for a little more funding through grants to permanently fix the joints in 2025. Center Street will be closed from Boone St. to the roads that lead to Washington St. and the YMCA just north of Hy Vee. The Public Works Department is suggesting to use the S 3rd Ave./Highway 14 viaduct for an alternate route.
