The Marshalltown Community School District Board of Education approved the High School Stadium Complex Project this week. This project is tentatively scheduled to begin April 12th and the goal is to be ready for the first home football game in the fall. Larson Construction won the bid at just under $5.5 million, they are out of Independence, IA. The visitor bleachers, field turf, and track surface each also had separate bids. The total cost for the project is $6.33 Million. The Marshalltown Community School District Facebook page shared a photo of what the field and track will look like, and it’s a blue track. While track and soccer games won’t happen on a home field this season, it will be big upgrades to host larger track meets and playoff soccer games next season.
