Kimberly Perry of The Band Perry has released her first solo single, “If I Die Young Pt. 2,”  an updated take on the The Band Perry’s 7x Platinum single, “If I Die Young.” Perry co-wrote the track with Nicolle Galyon and Jimmy Robbins, and wrote the original version solo which appeared on The Band Perry’s self-titled debut album in 2010. The track will appear on Perry’s upcoming EP, Bloom, due June 9th via Records Nashville. Perry shares on social media: “I’ve had time to bloom… I’m deliriously happy to announce that my first ever solo EP Bloom is coming out on June 9th and the first song – ‘If I Die Young Pt. 2’ – is out this Friday!!  I’m SO excited for y’all to hear all the things!! Last month, Perry signed with Records Nashville to kick off her new solo career. The solo venture follows the news that The Band Perry are taking a break to pursue “individual creative pursuits.”
