Marshall County is looking to add more emergency sirens across the county.  Kim Elder, Marshall County Emergency Management Coordinator, tells listeners how part of this project is being funded

The new sirens are outdoor storm warning systems, which is meant to alert those outside.  Kim then talks about installation of the sirens

Many people get a warning on their phones now, but those that are outside working may not see that, so the siren will be their signal of inclement weather.  26 months ago, Marshall County applied for a FEMA grant to help fund this project.
