The Marshalltown Bobcat softball team hosted Des Moines Hoover Huskies last night for a doubleheader. The Bobcats drop game 1 13 – 3 after a rough 1st inning. Behind the arm of 8th grader Briley Danielson, the Bobcats storm back and win game 2 14 – 7. Danielson pitched a complete game and struck out 10 along the way. Another 8th grader, Emma Stupp, hit another home run. She has 4 on the season.
The Bobcat baseball team also host Des Moines Hoover last night. They also split the doubleheader 1 – 1. They lost game 1 9 – 3, but rallying back late, they won game 2 in extra innings 8 – 7. Using small ball, the Bobcats were able to bunt in the final run
