The Central Iowa Fair has begun and last night Marshall County selected their queen and Little Miss Princess.  Lily Fischer of Melbourne was named the 2023 Central Iowa Fair Queen and Abigail Jo Hoyt was named the fair’s Little Miss Princess.  Fischer competed against 4 other candidates and had to go through an interview last week, then a 2 minute, “quick-fire” round, followed by modeling evening gowns and more questions.  Fischer will now represent Marshall County at the 2023 Iowa State Fair and will compete against 98 other candidates.  Other Queen candidates were, runner up: Ella Wertz, Lainey Harre, Maeve Janssen, and Maddy Thompson.  Abigail Jo Hoyt, won Little Miss Princess by having her named randomly drawn.
