Today is the day, it is the 5 year anniversary of the Tornado in Marshalltown. The Marshall County Courthouse will be open today for tours in the afternoon for the public. Tours will begin at 1, 2, and 3pm.
That is Marshall County Auditor/Recorder Nan Benson. She mentions that she will be conducting some tours along with Lucas Badke, building and grounds director, along with the 3 County Supervisors.
August 10th, kind of an eerie date as that would be the anniversary of when the derecho hit town.
