MPACT had their annual survey with the Police Department recently.  MPACT is Marshalltown Police and Community Team, where social workers respond with officers to some incidents.  David Hicks, YSS Executive Director, joined the KFJB line to let us know how the survey went.

One of the final questions on the survey was, do you support MPACTs continued partnership with the Marshalltown Police Department and 100% of the responses was yes.

Hicks says MPACT has the funding for 2 full time advocates through 2025, the challenge now, is how can we support 3 or 4 full time advocates?  How would 24-hour coverage impact this community.
