The Marshalltown School Board meeting was on Tuesday this week, due to the Labor Day holiday on Monday.  Dr. Theron Schutte stopped by the KFJB studio yesterday to give us the highlights.  He talks about the new law limiting books in school libraries.

Governor Kim Reynolds signed the bill last May and all schools in Iowa have until January of 2024 to comply.

There were only 30 books that needed to be removed due to the new law.  This was a small number compared to other districts, Urbandale initially started with a list with over 300 books
