According to a release by the Cedar Rapids Community School District, classes will resume this morning but still no Early Bird Classes or morning activities/practices.  They will impose a bag restriction, no student backpacks, bags, or purses will be allowed unless they are clear, see-through bags.  Lunch boxes are allowed, but will be subject to examination.  Student should only need to bring their Chromebook to class today.  Students and staff must access each school building using only one or two designated entrance locations before, during, and after the school day. The designated entrances will be indicated with signage when students arrive at school in the morning.  The school district suggests that this is an opportune time to discuss this situation with your students and emphasize that such actions have severe consequences, even if the threat is made in jest.
