Kendra Sorenson, Executive Director of the Marshalltown Area United Way, called into the KFJB line this week to give an update on where they are at in their campaign.  The United Way crushed their $800,000 goal last year and raised the Barr this year to $825,000.

The United Way raises money to support 32 programs and 29 agencies in Marshall County.  Those programs are things like Big Brothers Big Sisters, CIRSI, or the House of Compassion.

Unitedwaymarshalltown.org is a great place to visit to learn about the programs the United Way supports.  Sorenson also invites people to stop by their office, they are located at the Marshalltown Arts and Civic Center or the MAC
