Marshalltown saw an influx of people this last weekend in town for the High School Girls State Swimming and Diving meet.  This week Marshalltown again will be hosting a state competition for high schoolers, this time its for Esports.  Tourism Director with the Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce, Dylan Does, talks about the competition this week.

The competition will be taking place at the Orpheum Theatre and both the main theatre and the black box will be used

Look for more people out and about downtown this week as the Esports State Showdown begins on Wednesday.  Finals are 6pm Wednesday and Thursday night with Friday night Super Smash Bros final being at 7pm
