The Nevada High School Future Farmers of America chapter have a hands-on experience when it comes to farming.  This chapter farmed 37 acres between 2 fields in central Iowa this growing season.  Kevin Cooper, the agriculture education instructor and FFA advisor for Nevada High School, tells KFJB listeners about a new collaboration this year.

Cooper says that they were able to get 70 bales per field for a total of 140 bails sold at $10 apiece. He says that the corn harvest was successful

Nevada FFA chapter is able to see the whole operation of the farm by tending to the 37 acres of crop.  They plan to plant rye for a fall cover crop and will be pulled up in the spring.
