The Marshalltown Community College Esports team had another successful Fall Season.  This year they were able to top their 1 National Championship with 2 this year.  Amber Lawthers, who won Mario Kart individual National Championship last fall, led a team to win Mario Kart 4×4 National Championship this year.

That is Nathan Rodemeyer, one of the coaches for MCC Esports team.  Rodemeyer coaches with Andrew Goforth across all the titles.  MCC also won a National Championship in Overwatch 2.  Rodemeyer talks why he feels MCC has been successful in Esports from the beginning.

Rodemeyer and Goforth mention that the Captain of the Overwatch 2 team, Ryne Sinn, started as a Bronze player, one of the lowest ranks, to now a Masters player.  Sinn is a graduate of East Marshall High School in 2023.  The improvement they are able to see in players has been incredible to watch.
