The List for Tuesday, January 2nd 2024

Welcome to The List,

With two wildly successful projects already under his belt for 2023, Zac Bryan took to X to share that a new album is in fact on the horizon! The Okie, who loves to chat with fans on the platform, responded to one fan with some BIG NEWS! “It’s about half done, so depending on the writing side who knows, God willing as soon as possible.” Zach also took to Instagram to share snippets of not one, but two new tracks. The first, he teased a while ago, called Great American Bar Scene, and confirmed it was his favorite off the upcoming project. The second, also features fellow Okie John Moreland and is titled Memphis, The Blues.  While little else is known about the project, you better set your social media alerts because you never know when Zac Bryan may strike.

Zac Brown and his new wife, Kelly Yazdi, are calling it quits after just four months of marriage.

Brown and Yazdi have always kept their relationship out of the public eye, and it’s unclear how the two initially met. Many began to wonder what the status of their relationship was when Yazdi was spotted in a few photos and videos with a ring on her left finger. Eventually, she added Brown’s name to her social media handle.

The couple, who wed in a secret ceremony in August, is now very public about   D-I-V-O-R-C-E They’ve released a joint statement confirming their divorce. And She’s removed his last name from her socials so….it’s official….

And finally sad news on this new year, one of the founding members of the Dixie Chicks Laura Lynch was killed in a car accident you may have already heard involving a truck on Highway 62 near El Paso Texas. Now, criminal charges could be coming for the driver who was driving the truck involved in the crash. Authorities confirmed the driver had their blood drawn at the hospital,  but will wait to release the results until the subpoena. If these tests prove drugs or alcohol were involved, charges are likely to be filed. If the severe charges don’t apply, the driver could still face charges for reckless driving and unsafe lane changes due to witness statements. The investigation is still ongoing, though. She is survived by her husband Mac Tull and their daughter. She was 65.

The List for Monday, November 25th 2024

Welcome to The List,

Game show host Chuck Woolery died on Saturday at his home in Texas. . . . TMZ reports that he went to lie down because he wasn't feeling well.

Chuck was the original host of "Wheel of Fortune" back in the late '70s . . . he went on to host the "Scrabble" game show in the '80s . . . and of course "Love Connection" from 1983 to 1994.

He also did some later shows, like "Lingo" on the Game Show Network, and "Greed" on Fox.

There's no word on a cause of death, Chuck Woolery was 83…

-----

"Billboard" put out their list of the Top 100 Country Singers of All Time . . . and some folks are less than pleased.  Specifically, because Taylor Swift was ranked above Brooks & Dunn, Hank Williams Jr., and Toby Keith.  Also, Jason Aldean didn't even make the list at all..what’s THAT all about…..

-----

Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes is making around $50 million a year.  But now, his wallet will be 0.03% LIGHTER . . . thanks to FINGER GUNS.

The NFL has fined Patrick $14,069 for the "violent gesture" he made last week, while celebrating a touchdown.  He'd just scored on Buffalo, and Patrick used both hands to mimic firing dual pistols.

Let's be honest . . . he wouldn't have been fined for mimicking a bow and arrow . . . throwing knives . . . or dramatically acting out the extremely violent "finishing moves" from "Mortal Kombat".  (Although that would be amusing.)

-----

Chris Stapleton and Brooks & Dunn are now tied with the most CMA Awards in history.  They have 19 wins each.

The List for Friday, November 22nd 2024

Welcome to The List,

Luke Combs was shocked to hear "People" magazine named him the sexiest 34-year-old on the planet.  He told a reporter that when he heard they put him on a list, he thought it was for eating the "most cheeseburgers."

-----

Keith Urban was doing an interview for a recent edition of Variety magazine when he said he has two sides to his personality. "I’ve got a dutiful, responsible, reliable side. And I’ve got this animalistic, wild, reckless, irresponsible, What does this button do?' side.  I constantly have to keep them both in check to make sure one side isn't taking more control than it should."

-----

Jay Leno recently suffered a 60-foot fall down a hill at a hotel resulting in injuries to his eyes and face that were left bruised along with a broken wrist.  Which has led to wild internet conspiracies that Jay has a “gambling problem” and debt collectors were sending a message…

-----

Lastly, remember Jussie Smollett? Well his conviction for allegedly staging a hate crime against himself has been overturned by the Illinois Supreme Court.  They ruled that he shouldn't have been prosecuted after making a deal with the D.A.
