These extremely cold frigid temperatures are annoying to us as people, that also means that our pets are also uncomfortable. The Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown Executive Director, Austin Gillis, joined the KFJB line to share a few tips for pet owners.
We want to get rid of that snow and ice as quick as we can, especially when its on our driveway and sidewalk. Not every ice melt is good for our pets paws
Gillis suggest to check between your pets pads on their feet for any salt. That can irritate their skin and cause further issues if the salt is not removed. There is also pet friendly salt, check your packages before your purchase your ice salt.
