One year later and Starts Right Here is looking forward and wanting to expand.  1 year ago yesterday teenager Preston Walls walked into Starts Right Here center and gunned down 2 students, 16-year-old Rashad Carr and 18-year-old Gionni Dameron.  Walls also shot the founder of the program, Will Keeps.  Carr and Dameron both died from the shooting, and Keeps was able to survive.  In the last year Keeps has healed, announced plans to expand Starts Right Here, and released a memoir.   Keeps initially thought this incident would ‘break’ the school, but 1 year later the school is stronger than ever and needs to expand to help more youth.
