Tuesday afternoon the City of Marshalltown sent out a press release stating that the City Administrator, Joe Gaa, has resigned. City Councilor Jeff Schneider joined the KFJB line yesterday to talk about why and what is next.
The City Council called for some special meetings this week to discuss next steps.
During the hiring process of Joe Gaa, the city council decided NOT to use an HR firm to help conduct the search. This will be the 2nd search for a city administrator since Jessica Kinser voluntarily resigned May of last year.
