The morning after Representative Sue Cahill broke out in song during Legislation at the Iowa Capitol, she joined the KFJB line to talk about it. Sue Cahill began singing the national anthem while the Iowa house discussed a bill about having teachers and students sing it every day.
Cahill is a former librarian and teacher for many years in Marshalltown. She says that she loves this country and is a proud patriot. She opposes this bill though.
Cahill’s singing did gain a lot of attention across the state and Nationally. Iowa will be closely watched as this bill is continued to be debated.
