The Chicago Cubs ran their winning streak to 11 games as Matt Szczur  hit two of their five home runs in a 13-2 win against the Cardinals. Willson Contreras launched a three-run blast in helping the Cubbies stretch their lead in the NL Central to 14 games over St. Louis. Jorge Soler and Javier Baez also went deep to help Jake Arrieta improve to 14-5.
