The Iowa High School Esports Winter State Showdown is happening in Marshalltown next week.  This showdown is the final state competition for the 2 titles athletes have been competing in this season.  The two titles being played are Rocket League and Overwatch.

That is Dylan Does, Tourism Director for the Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce.  He mentions that they have been able to connect MCC and Mechdyne to this event, and both have been a huge help!

The Winter Showdown will be taking place next week starting Wednesday at the B. Niblock Welcome Center.  Doors will open around 8:30 each morning and it is free to attend.  Both the main theater and black box theater will have screens where spectators can watch.
