The List for Tuesday, February 20th 2024

Welcome to The List,

Lainey Wilson is fresh off winning a Grammy for Best Country Album and a People’s Choice Award for Favorite Female Country Artist.  But before all that, she got rejected from “American Idol” seven times.

Taylor Swift’s former boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, may be ready to start talking about their past relationship now that she has recorded an album about it. A source says, “I have heard that Joe wants to talk. Joe is ready to tell all about Taylor. Joe’s out there, hanging out there, and he’s ready to confess all that happened. Joe is ready to tell how that relationship went down.”

Jelly Roll responded to fans who were upset that he hit the stage at 11:30 P.M. at his NBA All Star Weekend show.  He wasn’t contractually allowed to perform earlier and he says, quote, “I ain’t about to let y’all keep making a mountain out of a mole hill.”

If you plan to see “Bob Marley: One Love” just know there’s a scene where Bob meets one of the men who tried to assassinate him in 1976 and forgives him.  Just FYI, that meeting never took place.  Chalk it up to “artistic liberties.”

You can catch The List, weekdays at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Wednesday, November 27th 2024

Welcome to The List,

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.  The first character balloon in 1927 was Felix the Cat, and the character to make the most appearances is Snoopy, with over 40.  This year's parade is scheduled to begin at 8:30 A.M. Eastern tomorrow morning, on NBC as usual, along with streams on Peacock and Fubo.  Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker of the "Today" show will return as hosts.

-----

Jelly Roll Is Taking A Break From Social Media ... He says he is going to go dark for a few months, but you'll still see him on his wife's posts. He says he has an unhealthy relationship…with social media and phones in general...

-----

The NY Post says "Wicked" moviegoers are causing a stir by singing along during the movie. AMC Theaters has already banned singing. Some fans find the singing disruptive, while others believe it adds to the viewing experience. Nanci Zoppi says, "I’m already livid about it. Everybody’s an indoor cat now. They don’t know how to be in public places."

-----

Kix Brooks is stepping down as the host of "American Country Countdown" after 18 years.  His last show will air the weekend of December 28th and 29th.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
