The House of Compassion does a Soup Bowl Luncheon as a fundraiser each year.  That fundraiser is coming up in March, but one unique thing is that the Marshalltown High School Art Students make the bowls for the event. Recently Chad Hammer, Executive Director for the House of Compassion, visited the high school to see the students at work.

After you pick out a bowl for your soup, you are able to take the bowl home with you as well.  Hammer says there are people who come each year just to add another bowl to their collection.
