Today is the day! It is election day for the special elections on PPEL and LOST. PPEL is the Physical Plant and Equipment Levy with the School District, and that fund helps care for building and grounds. Recently, Superintendent Dr. Theron Schutte, spoke about the levy.
Dr. Schutte explains that even with the 67 cent increase in the PPEL fund, the overall levy for the school district will stay at $15.99.
There are 2 places to vote in Marshalltown, Wards 1 and 2 are at the Marshalltown Public Library, while Wards 3 and 4 are at Redeemer Lutheran Church across from the High School. Albion will vote at the Fire Station. East Marshall School district is also voting on PPEL. Laurel will vote at City Hall and Legrand will vote at the Community Center.
