The Marshalltown City Council Meeting on Monday had a fairly short agenda, but some of the topics had long discussions.  One long discussion was about parking rules in town.  This was something 2 gentlemen have been speaking about during public comment.

That is Marshalltown Public Works Director Heather Thomas.  The discussion on Monday talked about how many vehicles residential houses can have parked outside and where those vehicles can be parked.

This parking discussion will continue as a resolution is brought to the Council at the next meeting.  This is a great example of people voicing their opinions and discussing them with their Council reps to be heard.
