Friday was the final day for individuals to submit the paperwork to run for County Offices. There will be 3 positions to be voted on, a County Supervisor seat, County Auditor/Recorder, and County Sheriff. For the County Sheriff and Auditor/Recorder there is only 1 name for each race. Joel Phillips, Marshall County’s current Sheriff, and Nan Benson, Marshall County Auditor/Recorder, are both running for their respective positions. For the 1 Board of Supervisor seat, there are 3 candidates. Ruth Lycke, a republican from Marshalltown, Bill Schendel, a republican from Marshalltown, and Kevin Goodman, a republican from Haverhill. The Primary Election will be June 4th, while the general election is scheduled for November 5th.
