This past weekend a large fundraiser happened to support the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown, the Fur Ball. This was the 3rd annual Fur Ball and it had a goal to raise $75,000. KFJB caught up with Executive Director, Austin Gillis, this week to see how his first Fur Ball went.
That is a new record for money raised for the Fur Ball. Gillis shares that it cost around $600,000 annually to run the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown. Raising $90,000 is a HUGE help.
Gillis raves about the property they own, and shares a few ideas he has for future projects. You can listen to my entire conversation with Austin online at 1230kfjb.com under Zach Chats.
