The Lennihan Art Teacher, Nick Beard, was able to share a program he did with the intermediate students at the most recent School Board meeting on Monday. They partnered with the MACC and the orchestra for a contest.  Dr. Theron Schutte, Superintendent of Marshalltown Schools, talks further about this contest.

The students would listen to a piece of music done by the orchestra and then they created a piece of art based off of the music that they heard.  Those pieces will be on display this Thursday at the Marshalltown Arts and Civic Center
