The Emergency Food Box in Marshalltown has been helping this community for 40 years!  This is an incredible milestone, so they are going to be celebrating.  Cindy Staron, a long time volunteer with the Emergency Food Box, tells listeners about the celebration.

Staron says that the Food Box will also be open during that time, since they’re only a block away.  Staron says that there will be a reception happening at the Coliseum.

Staron says they tried to track down as many previous board members as they could, and sent them an invitation for the celebration on Sunday.  She says they will have some cookies and refreshments for those who stop by.
