The Marshalltown Bobcat Girls’ tennis team took their 7 – 0 record on the road to face off against another unbeaten last night in Des Moines Roosevelt Roughriders. The Bobcats flex their muscles and get a big win 10 – 1, and move to 8 – 0 on the season. Head Coach John Fiscus says, “Rebekah Downs and Kennedy Feldman keep improving as the Number 1 doubles team, getting ready for Regionals in a couple of weeks. The duo is 7-1 so far on the season. I am very pleased with the way Rebekah and Kennedy have been winning their matches. Their shot making skills have improved greatly in the past year.” The girls will be back in action Thursday when they face Des Moines North at home.
The Bobcat boys tennis team faced off against the Des Moines Roosevelt Roughriders at home last night. In a tightly fought battle the Roughriders edge out the Bobcats 6 – 5. The Boys play again on Thursday when they have a dual against Des Moines North.
The Bobcat girls’ soccer team played at Duke Williams Stadium last night against Des Moines East Scarlets. The girls get a 3 – 0 win! The girls are now 6 – 4 on the season and will face Des Moines Hoover next at home on Thursday.
The Bobcat boys soccer team lost to Des Moines east last night 3 – 2. It was a goal in the 2nd half that gave the scarlets the led. The Bobcats are playing next on Friday when they visit the Ames Little Cyclones.
