Marshall County Emergency Management has been working to add more tornado sirens across the county in rural areas. Many of those tornado sirens were installed in the last year but they are not operable at this moment. The project is expected to be finished in the next few weeks. With the incoming inclement weather, Marshall County Emergency Management Coordinator, Kim Elder, wanted residents to know what was happening. This is only affecting the newly installed sirens. All cities with working sirens before the new installation of sirens will still have working sirens. Alert Iowa would be a great app to follow for any emergency updates in the meantime.
